Bass Coast Baptist church is an independent, Christ-centred, Bible-teaching church meeting in Wonthaggi, Victoria.
Coming from a variety of backgrounds, our common bond is a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Our desire is to know Christ and to share His Gospel of Grace in our community and beyond.
We are independent in governance and not affiliated with any denomination or organisation.
The life of our church revolves around the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, the source of our faith and practice as Christians. We meet regularly for worship, teaching, prayer and fellowship, modelling ourselves around the New Testament example of the local church.
Our church is a friendly, family-oriented environment where people of all ages can enjoy the goodness and grace of God.
Our History
We began in September 2013 as a new church plant from Ferntree Gully Independent Baptist Church, which has been serving the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne for over 40 years.
In August 2014 we re-located to Wonthaggi Scout Hall where we currently meet for our Sunday Services.
Trusting in Christ’s promise to build His church (Matthew 16:15) we continue to grow, numerically and spiritually as we seek to glorify Him.
